I know how important it is to have a consistent relationship with the people who help you in your home. I live positively with a disability and for the last 13 years, I've employed a private helper in my home to help me with personal cares and household tasks. She's quick with a joke when I need a laugh and with her assistance, I can get on with packing my days full of the people and activities I love.
I wish the same for you. That's who we are at Arvida Good Friends.
We've hand picked a fabulous team of professionals who are great listeners, energetic livers of life and who bring you a smile when you need it. They are looking forward to meeting you and your families and to helping you live your best life in the home that you know and love.
Rachel Hopkins, Head of Living Well Communities | Arvida Group
We want our helpers to enjoy their work and for you to enjoy their company. Every Arvida Good Friends helper is hand picked for their values and skills. We set them up for success so that they can build enjoyable, long term relationships with you - our members.
- Every helper goes through a rigorous vetting process including character and skills reference checking, plus a police check.
- When a helper joins our team, they are fully trained to Arvida standards, they are inducted to the Home and Community Support Sector Standard NZS8158:2012 and they learn how to apply the Arvida Attitude of Living Well™ philosophy and practice.
- All our helpers have access to the resources and expertise in our residential care facilities as well as the extensive Arvida online training system.
